Old-Time Radio Theme Month, Day 5: "Confession"

Writing during the first half of the 20th century, Algernon Blackwood is remembered today mainly for his otherworldly weird fiction, the type of stories enjoyed by H.P. Lovecraft fans. However, there was more to his fiction than that.

On December 31, 1947, Escape presented "Confession," which is definitely one of the most well-realized chillers in all of old-time radio. It's the story of a recovering veteran wandering through the foggy streets of London, doubting his own senses. William Conrad stars as the veteran; pay attention while listening to this one, the pay-off is well worth it.
